    battle entry help

    Hello,

    I know Im constantly asking for help translating wehrpass entries- I have no problems translating the parts that are legible ie the printed battle enties -I was able to completely translate them myself however when the entires are in sloppy handwritting/sutterlin i have problems.this wehrpass is for a member of Artillery Regt 109(can someone tell me what division this was part of?)I know its alot of entries but if someone can help me out i would appreciate it

    page #2.the printed battle entires were on this page,there was one handwritten entry after the printed ones.

      The battalions of this regiment were army troops. I have a wehrpass to a member of 4./ AR 109 but this was part of II./ AR 109, there being three batteries to a battalion.

        here is the printed battle entries-I was able to translate them with some help from Gary T"s website.Here is what i came up with

        I dont understand the last typed entry-I understand he was transfered back to Germany but were does 6 A.R grossdeutchland come into things?was his unit absorbed into the 6th A.R. Grossdeutchland??

          In Russia I./ AR 109 was attached to IX Korps initially and later with other Korps of 4. Armee.

            I'm playing catch up here ...yes II./ AR 109 became II./ AR GD in February 1942.

              The mashinetyped "umgegl." means "umgegliedert" or rearranged into a GD-unit, as Gary has shown before.
