    New addition.....Fährenflottille der Luftwaffe Nr. 4

    Here's a new addition to my collection....unusual as he was a member of Fährenflottille der Luftwaffe Nr. 4 in Africa and he was awarded the Kriegsmarine Mine sweepers Badge.

    Unusual unit!

    First scan..showing Herr Babick in tropical uniform sporting a "Hitler" moustache...or "Charlie Chaplin"!

                      Magnificent document. I had noticed this document on a well known site of sale ;-)) very correct price and document with good registrations.

                      Here is an image of a Soldbuch LW for an identical unity.

                            Not the same unit ...

                            ... but some interesting photos of LW sea-going personnel. They're from a crew member of Flugsicherungsboot B 581. Top row, fellow on the right is wearing (not easy to see on the scan) the Kriegsabzeichen für Minensuch-, U-Boots Jagd- und Sicherungsverbände.
