Hi Dan, they wore the correct colour waffenfarbe for their branch of service. Red and green are mostly seen, but black/white twist is another one.

Hi Ade do you believe also that is a gray wrapper?
thanks for the answer,i meant if they wore normal grey shoulderboards or black shoulder boards?

Grey for certain Gary has summed up the reasons why.

Early dark green boards or field grey boards were worn.
