    Reichsbund fur Leibesbungen Help

    Hi All,
Can anyone tell me exactly what this is and why it was issued?
I have never seen one of these. Apparently it is sports related.
Was there a pin issued with it? Any and all comments or opinions
    would be greatly appreciated.

All institutions in the third reich were under the influence of the nazi's. Political, civil, you name it. So was the case with sportorganisations. So if you wanted to do some sport in an official club, the club and so the member, had to join the Reichsbund for Leibesubungen.

            Hi necker,
Thanks for your response! So this is simply a membership card?

Many of the clubs were old pre-Nazi organizations but all were brought under the RLB. Most clubs issued the standard ID card like you have, with the only difference being the clubs name.

It is indeed a membershipcard. The word "Mitgliedskarte" = membershipcard
