If someone asks for an opinion, I have the right to give him mine. Regardless weather I am right or wrong.
You may not like my opinion, you may think, I do not know what I am talking about, but concidering your arguments regarding this Soldbuch, I doubt you know much either.

Just because some of the signatures can been identified, doesn't make the Soldbuch original. If you really wanted to make a high quality fake Soldbuch, I guess you would also take trouble finding out, who schould have signed the Soldbuch.....

I never said this Soldbuch was a fake, just said that I wouldn't like in my collection for the reasons I started earlier in this thread

And if im not right, i think the Reiterstandarte was not a fron unit, like a infantery men who jump into mud in the front when the russian fires on him!!
I think some people have to think twice before they post anythink.
      Misterx,

Tell us why there is a photo in this Soldbuch when Heer and SS orders state there should not be one until 1943?
Has anyone said the Soldbuch is fake, I have pointed out that there should not be a photo......in my opinion the Soldbuch is good, however the photo raises questions......and I do know that some dealers add photos to make it more sellable if it had never had one or the photo was removed!
Regarding using a Soldbuch cover I don't think so, I do not recall there being any marks where a cover would have been.....I do think that the Soldbuch was never really used and as can be seen he was discharged in 1940! This is the same of three I have seen....all have been discharged in 1940/41, all have been in near mint condition (that does not bother me!), however all had photos!!! That does bother me!

But then I don't know anything, obviously

I too think people should think twice before they post!!!

No one is claiming it's original based upon the signatures. However, they are one of the many things that have to be looked into in order to help determine originality and, as it happens, they check out.
