    Translation help needed

    Hi

I wonder if anybody can translate the first word I found scribbled in pencil?

Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

I am almost sure it is German and not added after the period. Even the German who could not translate agreed!!

    Many thanks

        Hi Simon

It is scribbled in an SS book that I have come across and think it is a reference to a badge or membership number.

I have tried lots of combinations on the online translator and still get nothing!

It is probably someones note about lottery numbers, or a safe combination!!

          Hi,
can you post some other words written in the book? This would increase the chance to get a understanding of the hand-writing characteristics here.

            Hi Nore

That is the only pencil scribble in the book by the owner and the rest has been officially entered in black ink in the member details so it would offer no extra clues, I'm afraid otherwise I of course would have obliged.

            Thanks

Thanks anyway.It******180;s a pitty as the 3rd and/or 4th letter of the first word are somewhat hard. The starting letter of both words should be the same, that is either N or St.

                    Hi,
if the pic above shows the whole writing,it shan******180;t be a "M" as first letter.THIS letter is identical to what you would use as "N" on the second word-this doesn******180;t work out!

                        More

Oh, and I thought that my quest was over.

Can you think of an abbrevation that may be used in German. Nr is number but could it be NaM?

                        Thanks for your continued interest.

only possible explanation that I can think of would also be Marke...maybe, the guy's handwriting was just sloppy when it comes to his M's? Cheers, Torsten.

                            Hi

I think we have a winner....

                            Nadel = pin.

That makes sense in the context of the membership book

Thanks to everyone for their help with this one.
