I Recently saw a thread on this forum, (though i have forgotten exactly where) of a wehrmacht soldbuch issued to a member of the waffen ss, does anyone know when the ss began issueing their own buchs

They had them from mobilisation in August 1939, however they used what ever was to hand at the time....that is why you see Luftwaffe guys with Army Soldb******252;cher and vice versa....
