Hello, this tag came with a document group and it matches the soldbuch.
It looks good to me. Does everything on this one look authentic to you experts ?
Note the wear around the top two holes. A good sign I think.

thanks guys, it is not just a dull flak dogtag.
It came with a soldbuch and award group to a member of a flak barrage balloon unit. He later went to Tunisia with Flak Regiment 6 and was captured by the Allies in May 43.

That is indeed nice- it's usually impossible to discern all but a soldier's very first field unit from the information on his Erkennungsmarke- and sometimes not even that- so it's great to have that information from another source.

Oh, and just FYI, because it's really easy to fake the wear between the neck cord holes, it's not a characteristic you can really use to determine authenticity. Personally I do like to see it, because you will see at least a bit of wear on the vast majority of real Erkennungsmarken, however I only consider it as a crowning feature on a disc I'm already fairly confident is authentic for other concrete reasons. In my opinion, only its absence can be considered, with other evidence, as reasonable support for something being fake- the vast majority of fakes show no signs of ever being worn despite being marked as if they had been issued.
