    wehrpass question

    Hello, just a fairly basic question here please.
    This werhpass is a second issued. Is the date on the first page the date of issue of this second wehrpass ?
    If so, then I cannot understand why his unit page has entries from earlier dates that are all written in different ink etc.
    If they were all written in the same ink then I could understand that the entries had been backdated and filled in all at once at the time of second wehrpass issue, however this is not the case.
    Can someone please clarify what is going on here.

    Definately second issue wehrpass, issued in 1944. It would appear that the entries from 1938-1939 are in the same hand. As for the others, it is possible they could have been sent to his unit for updating/or updated from records when available by someone else.
