DKIG the truth about the catch on a marked 20 please!!!!

Hi guys recently i have found on a site a very nice condition dkig it is a marked 20 zimmerman. The cross has a catch that is fixed directly to the base plate not a raised one as seen typically on light 20's. In previous discussions this has been advised against is this still the case. The strange part about it is that it has a expertise from detlev niemann a year ago i am now a little confused i know you should never trust a dealer 100% so i come here for opinions/ it is 1550 euros.
the weight on cert says 66.88g
    the height says 63.16 mm
    the breadth says 63.09 mm
    thanks
    mat
I would rather plough my money into a good one as opposed to a potential variant version

    Mat,

The DKiG you're describing is a heavy Zimmerman. The catch is applied directly.
See this thread for an example...

Heavy zimmermans do not come up that often. Also, there is a slight gap between the hinge plate and the 12 oclock rivet, while the hinge plate abuts the 12 oclock rivet in the light version. Beyond the catch plate and hinge plate, there is a very subltle difference in the shape of the "20" stamp compared to the light version, in that the "0" is more circular. All in all, much less common than the light zimmerman! If you need additional photos, I can get the cross on Monday and can post some photos for you.
