    Just got this EK2 and want to know what you all think. I believe, it is really had to see the maker stamp, that this is a JM EK2. Thoughts on it, it's ID, and is it good?

        Yes, it is an original J. Maurer EKII. Good period ribbon as well.

              It looks like someone spray painted or chemically blackened the whole cross and then wiped or abraded it off of most of the frame, swaz and date.

                  Good original piece ,but possible that it was exposed to some kind of heat effect and therefore became so

                  of course this is a my opinion
