    Riunder EK2?

Detlev had this EK2 for sale this AM. His description was:

    <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=2 width=600 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD>Iron Cross 2nd Class 1939 [2241] Sold</TD><TD align=right>State II</TD></TR><TR><TD colSpan=2>

Iron centre, with "round" inner frame, with ribbon

    </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Any relation to the Rounder RK? Probably not .. but thought this rather interesting:

not really, those crosses were made by souval, etc...

they are not very "rare" so i do not know why detlev wants 100€ for them

doesn't look like a souval to me . . . I've got a marked one and they are not the same.

It would be interesting to know if there was a maker mark on the ring.

          Hi Bob,

As the description says ... no mention of mm ... Detlev usually has that in the description if it was marked.

i bought one similar from detlev last year it had the ring stamp on L/14 (friedrich orth)detlev remarked that it was the only one he had come across with this maker mark on it. there are pics of it on the iron cross section under maker L/14.

            regards gaz

The outside 'points' on the beading corners look to be Souval.

The front and back looks like two different crosses. Notice the frosting to the front beading and not the back. Also the cross seems think in the pictures. I agree the corners look like a Souval. I have one that is unmarked.

i think it's irrelevant who made this specific cross. we know that souval made "round cornered" ek as well as some other manufacturers and they do not have anything to do with rounder kc.
