The ribbon is also fake ... note the missing weft thread loops on the edges. What a cess pool of fakery Facebook is.

Facebook is the "new Ebay" with an additional comment section where everybody can display his/her deeply rooted ignaorance about the topic. A sign of the times.

Can't but agree Dietrich. Facebook is another dumpster of the militaria collecting world. It's sad and funny at the same time. People want to collect but are not willing to research, a dangerous way of approach. On the other hand i made some nice deals on 100% original items which were deemed as fake by the Facebook experts.
Like yesterday i had a good laugh. Somebody asked the value of a signed Göring picture. A HORRIBLE fake. Hermann written with single 'n', to name one error. Another idiot replied with a value of 700 GPB. Than there is the third idiot who deemed the picture as a fake, but posts another fake as a reference for a good example. Enjoy yourself.

That is why I have always liked this forum. It is a great resource for understanding the items, the history behind them, and not a bunch of political posts of "you're a nazi!," or "SS rules all!" I rather learn from a cultured mature group.
