    hi brian

thats what struck me im glad someone else noticed the lack of curve to the arms i just thought that was my eyes.as for the numbers they are different also the cross hatching is as well,i dont have a clue why this should be myself maybe someone with more knowledge can help. by the way my cross is of three piece constuction and has a magnetic centre. it certainly is an odd one. but i really like the cross.
    regards gaz

      Hi All,

I think this might be an EK 25. It came in a case, I think the case is fake but think the medal could be OK . The width is 44.3mm, height is 44mm, lower arm is 26.8mm.
      Cheers mike.c.

            hi mike

it looks like the die flaws would match mine if the frame was turned 180 degrees it is the same. i would imagine that when the centre was fitted to the frame it didnt matter which way up it was, also the cross hatching in the corners match mine. maybe they had two sets of dies?

              hi gaz.

the cross is for sure no typical "25" cross but a ring does not make a cross a fake. (it can be replaced).

what i do not like on the cross is the core that is very similar to a well known ek fake. (compare the die flaw between 1 and 9 in 1939)...

hi stefan thanks for taking a look, the fat 1 and the joining of the 1&9 concerns me it does look the same as jons yet the 1813 are different to jons cross.i think it may have to go on the bad pile

                kind regards gaz

                  Hello all,

Here is my 25, can you see any flaws on this one? I can't but I don't know for sure.

Please let me know either way. Thank you.

                    25

                    Hello again,

The "25" mark is on the back of the ring, just something I thought you should know.

I believe Gaz's 25 is unfortunately fake. NOtice how the 9 o'clock arm beading is more or less straight, where the others have the normal curvature.

I believe Skip had one like this on the e-stand last week. A good close-up of the 1939 would seal the deal....

yes, that's right. Gaz's is a fake. I had this one too a while back (well. part of it - same core slightly different frame), the inner corner beading is all over the place. Do a search for EK2 25...

i would have to agree with everyone my ek2 is a fake i believe that this same core turns up in other frames and with other maker marks .the easy way to tell is the 1 and 9 on the date 1939 join together with what looks like a moulding defect or blob .

                              cheers gaz
