I agree, a transitional Mayer with Mayer Schinkel core like this one.

      Rare cross.

I don't know why you wrote L/50 though. This has nothing to do with the Godet-marked Mayers if it's not marked.
      Best regards,
      Streptile

Looking for ROUND BUTTON 1939 EK1 Spange cases (LDO or PKZ)

            Thank You for all replies.

I wrote unmarked L/50 because it’s the same cross as marked L/50 from Sanya set from this thread.

Actually. Very rarely appears this type of Mayer's cross EK2-1939 (with LDO frame and schinkel core) signed L/50, but it is rather a margin, not a rule

              Very nice medal-bar

Have you done a black light test on the ribbon ?

I didn't do it , but interesting is the „normal” ribbon it’s on early orange ribbon.

Yes, I found same orange ribbon beneath the red ribbon on two of my medal bars. Mounting shops could stock themselves well with oranges and later they just used them like this. Nothing to worry about IMO.

Hanhart : are you able to do a black light test on the EK2 ribbon .
The end loop stich on your ribbons crosses over from front to back side .
I have no original ribbons that do that ... ?

Yubari : The hidden ribbon pieces are some times the orange type ... used up as backing - sown together on the back of the metal plate first
... that way the top ribbon on the front side could be sown to something .
This includes holding down the jump ring on the medal to the ribbon below to keep the medal more steady in place .
I wonder if they were told not to use the orange type and therefore this was the only to use up existing stock ??
