They certainly look a lot like this one Mickey

      L/16 2nd class spange

I don't think anyone here is really quite sure what exactly S&L's spanges are supposed to look like - you'll find a lot of contradiction here over the years if you do a search.

If I was looking for an S&L spange however, based on what we've discussed here in the past, I would want it to look exactly like Mark's one... and yours do - as long as the right hand one has the raised maker mark. (I think you implied it did.)

      I therefore vote

I agree that both look like good L/16s.

          Spange

Thanks, your right there does seam to be alot of views on these Spanges about the prongs should it be 2x pieces or 4x pieces, should the L/16 be stamped or raised, the left leg size etc etc. most of the time you end up more confused and doubting the item, then before you started the search. the wonders of this site never cease to amaze me, far better then any book you can buy
          cheers mickey
