Juncker Knight’s Cross timeline?

Dietrich Maerz’s book is in the mail on its way to my library, so maybe this question is redundant when I read the book.

But, does anyone have a detailed timeline of production and awarding of the Juncker Ritterkreuz?

I have this scheme in my head:
unmarked zinc & magnetic 1939-1940?
800 & 800 dot 1940-1941?
L/12 1941-1944?
micro 2 & 2 1943-1944?
lazy 2 1944-1945?

Any corrections?

There is a difference between production and award dates. It is possible to divide the crosses into production time frames, but it is hard to tie the time frames to award dates. That depended on the way they took the crosses out of stoarage at the PKZ. There are late awards of L/12s, for instance. However, it is never possible to "go back in time", meaning an award date of pre March 1941 for an L/12 or one before early 1943 for a "2".
That is an error often made by delares when putting groups together, not knowing the deeper meaning of the numbers and ignoring basic research.

Here is what is fairly safe to say regarding production time frames:

Unmarked: September 1939 - early 1940
800 and 800 dot: mid 1940 to late Spring 1941
L/12: April 1941 - October 1941
Lazy "2" : from early 1943 onwards

So the Lazy 2 was already produced this early in the war? But only awarded from late 1944? Or do you know of Lazy 2 recipients in 1943?

At the time when I wrote the book, which is over 10 years ago now, I based what I wrote about the time line half on previous authors (Gordon Williamson et al) and half on what I had gathered from award dates and types. The "2"-marked Knights Crosses seem to start to appear in mir 1944, but you will find also (as I mentioned above) other types, such as "flawed S&L" and K&Q.
The production date can only be fixed to the date when the PKZ numbers were issued which was late 1942/early 1943. Nobody knows whether Jucnker got an order form the PKZ immediately after that date or later.
It is not discussed in such depth and length since the research was not yet as good as it is today. Es pecially the given date of introduction of the pKZ numbers in mid 1944 is wrong. It was wrongfully only based on Knights Crosses. I took that from Williamson but we both should have looked at the other orders and medals like the German Cross, the War Merit Cross and also the Wound Badges and the East Medal.

Between 41 to 43, what?

Again, I speak only of manufacturing! The collection of the L/12s and others from the market gave the PKZ a big enough stock. They surely also had S&Ls on stock. One should never forget that the median for all awarded Knights Crosses lies at December 1943. The real need for high numbers started in 1944 and that is when K&Q and also the "20"s come in.
So for C.E. Juncker the answer to the above question could very well be: nothing!
