EK-2 Juncker small frame

Hello guys,

I have seen a lot of different kinds of Juncker crosses or which are associated to Juncker.

This is my "Juncker"cross and if Im not mistaken its an AWS "small"frame with a non magnetic Juncker core ( referring to this Thread from Sanya http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=950866)

The dimensions are 43,54 * 43,47
No crunch bead
non magnetic

Left: small frame
Right: full Juncker - crunch bead frame + magnetic Teardrop “9” 2nd core

Here are the 3 different frame types with same non magnetic WFS inner core ,which I have found so far.


1. In my opinion this the type the fantasy name is "Small frame "this is a early type by Junker assembly of types piece AWS with a early 1 type frame and non magnetic early Juncker inner core.(this the core type the 1939 Wideframe Schinkel was made early in WW II by Juncker )

2. The so called "3 flawed " frame type with same core

3. The so called " WFS type" AWS 2. type frame ,but same core

Sorry, but after many discussions at the WAF forum (among others with Trevor), We came together to agree that there is no hard evidence that the crosses:

LUG Variant
SMALL FRAME
LONG FLAW FRAME

were produced by Juncker, although there are many indications for this.
That is why we decided to define their producer as:
" Unknown Maker from Berlin connected with JUNCKER "

Has something changed since then? Because I see that the Small Frame Cross is already treated as an obvious Juncker cross ???

I cannot comment on the small frame as to a maker yet .
Of the few Lug Variants - one is made by S&L . The frame with bead flaws exist with and with out full lug .
To this frame I have come across 2 cores - and one is uniquely different with features only found on Juncker pieces .
This IMO could be a contracted out EK for Juncker .
And the Long Flaw frame is nothing more than a worn out Juncker 3 flaw frame .
It appears the production dies or master- were sold/ given away/ ??? -- IMO split up to one or two companies trying their luck
to extend the life/production of the doomed die .

It is indeed hard to proof if the different kind of frames were used by Juncker or other companies. Anyway like Jarek told they are connected to Juncker.

IMO the explaination from Sanya about the "small" frame make sence to me. But I think thats a personal opinion and everyone can think different about it.

For me it is nice to collect these Crosses
