1914 Vaulted EKI and Double-marked 1939 EKI

I found these two crosses for sale and would like to buy them if they are original, priced right and still available. The 1914 is $150 and the 1939 is $235. Your comments are most welcome.

Hi Harvey,

Imo, the 1914 EK1 is not a Meybauer (as per the maker mark), but a recent repro.

The 1939 EK1 looks OK assuming the cross is marked L/16 & 4. It looks like an L/18 stamping from the image though.

I'm with Mike, the 1939 EK.1 is marked '4' for Steinhauer und Luck yet the double mark appears to be 'L/18' which is incorrect, should definitely be 'L/16'.

Is the ’39 marked L/18 and a silver content mark? The pebble finish rings a bell, but I don’t recall who these markers are. Is the 1914 marked with a crown? They sure look nice.

The seller says the mark is 'L16', although in the photos it appears to be 'L18'. There's no mention of a silver content mark.

Harvey, if it's 'L/16' then that's correct. I have seen double marked S&L EK.1's with the LDO mark on both the pin and the lower arm..but, havent seen the LDO mark placed so close to the '4; before.

Mike is correct. The Imperial cross is a Eastern European fake with the Meybauer mark added to deceive

Understanding that the L/16 and 4 mark go together, does anyone have an opinion on the originality and value of the double-marked 39 EKI?
