    ....and regarding the fake I mentioned some time ago, cited by Marshall in post #24:

    Bob's nice original does not have anything to do with those fakes, except that his type spange has been the role model for these cast fakes.

    Here are pics of these fakes, they do not always have the L/12 mark and also that fake silver mark is not neccessarily always applied.

          A clear example why declaring something original from a photograph alone can backfire horribly.

          Here then, for others who may reference this thread in months to come, is an indication of just how tricky it can be for newcomers to purchase with confidence over the net.

          The one on the left is ORIGINAL, the one on the right, CAST from the original, and therefore, worthless.

            That's the point Frank, if they are, then there may be similarities. They don't have to be made by the same person if they had been it may be evident.

            Not sure why you rule this out of hand? You say these are not artists and their work is not consistent or identifiable?
