EK2 with spange review

Hey Guys ! I Bought this nicely marked EK2 for my collection I paid 100$ on it but I gambled with the spange, I would like to know if its original, ive had some people tell me its good and if it is I'm really excited to add it to my collection ! Anyone elses opinion is appreciated !

The spange does not belong on a WWII EK. The spange is a miniature and is used on ribbon bars. Jim

The cross is a nicely marked K&Q.
The spange is from an unknown maker I believe and is for a ribbon or medal bar. It does not belong where it is and is likely added more recently.

I agree with Jim & Ralph. Both the EK II & mini spange look good to me but the spange is intended for wear on an EK II 1914 ribbon bar as per attached pictures. These mini spanges exist in a number of variations (depending on maker) and also vary in size depending on use. Attached specimens are between 16mm and 9mm.

Thanks guys !!! Maybe the German soldier put it on there or a GI cause it looks like it never came off and also there some rust so idk how long it's been on there. I personally think it's awesome.
