I just got these in Munich. The antiques dealer said they were for placing on gravestones. I have never seen anything like these before.

sorry, a better word for it, is fantasy piece, you could also get this kvk on plates and cups .

Thank you, Pattex. I had never seen anything like these and bought them from a box of common military items in Munich. The antique dealer had all original, but common items, and did not seem to have much expertise on any of the pieces. I am sad, but I am also sure it will not be the last time I make a mistake. Thank goodness it was not an expensive mistake.
