IC 1st Cl- Wartime Souval?

This cross looks to have had a rough life. It has a non-magnetic core which appears to be brass. The pin is missing and there is no maker's mark on the cross. I've looked around the forum and my best guess is that this is a wartime Souval.

So, what do those who actually know these things have to say: Souval: Yea or Ney?

IMO this is a Friedrich Orth (of course in front Souval fame )

I agree, Souval frame with Orth core but I can't say pre or post May 45 on that one.
