    Unusual RK hanger

I'm generally a purist when it comes to this stuff but the one has me sitting on the fence....completely unmarked but silver and very well done.

I'd appreciate comments and if someone has a similar looking loop, pictures would be appreciated.

$17. at an Antique store this morning among broken jewelry..

      Dave,

Here's a loop I have, it's unmarked and looks good, although I haven't a clue whether its period. My gut tells me its OK.

Thanks Allan that's about where I am...I FEEL it's ok and I've seen some varience in size and weight....

I can't picture any other award that would utilize this sort of loop...

          I have an S&L that's 21mm x 6.5mm

          This one is 20mm x 6.4mm
          Regards,
          Dave

Just a thought, but were any of the RK manufacturers involved in jewelry/watchmaking before/after being commissioned to make RKs? Also, the tip finish looks remarkably similar to the S&L loop.....

Harry the tips are quick finished like the later Juncker...

What are your thoughts regarding Jewelry etc.?

Could it be a loop from oakleaf production?

                  Cheers.

No specific thoughts really, from the initial pics it looked like a 'single' twist of wire rather than a double at one end, but that was prob. because the camera angle was dead-on. Maybe it has had too quick a finish even for a 800 stamp!
