    EK1 1914 with closed 4

    Hi All,

here is an unmarked EK1 1914, with magnetic core, weight 14,7 g. Probably produced after 1918, but not very late. Has closed "4" in the date - could it be Maybauer manufacturing? I would like to know your opinions

    greetings

Unfortunatley this one is a fake.

Same setup can be seen on some 1939 fakes, such as the Round 3 fake.

However this "type" of crosses exist as originals, but these fakes are quite close to the fakes.

Thank you, I ahve read before, that many crosses with closed 4 are fakes. Always better to ask, as sell or buy a fake ...

      regards

              That's a good example of a closed 4 core that's authentic.
              made by Assmann or Linden.

I think it's the S&L World War 2 produced S&L 1914 core Alfred is after.
I can try to dig later today for pictures of an autjentic closed 4 cored S&L.

5tefans good work with his sites didn't stop to amaze me, he has even detailed pics of a few original S&L made closed 4's.

They are at the bottom of the page if you click HERE.
