    KVK 2 - G H Osang - Dresden ?

    Afternoon all,

I popped around Mrs. Yeomans Mum and Dads house yesterday and knowing I had an interest in such things they showed me some items one of thems uncle had bought back from the war.
I took it home with me to see if there was a makers mark on it and I was pleasantly surprised to see what appears to be an 80 which I believe suggests manufacture by G H Osang of Dresden.
Can anybody comment on its originality and if so can you give me an idea what time period Osang was making War Merit crosses ?

Thanks for any comments in advance.

I think earlier than later. I believe like many makers they went to zinc eventually. 1939-45.

Thanks for the thumbs up and info lads. It's much appreciated.
This cross apparently comes from a sailor who served on the Graf Spee.

I'm just replacing some of the photos photobucket has removed.
Here we have a couple pics of the makers mark.
