    EK1 with clam shell...is it a Floch?

    Hi Guys,
    This EK1 w/clam shell backing came with some items i bought.The EK is a 3 piece construction with magnetic core.Please can you give me your diagnosis whether its good or a floch copy.

        That's a very low '1939' and the meeting of the ridges where the arms of the cross come together looks worrying. I'm no expert, but I recently went through the pain of out sorting the Floch-fakes from my collection and this cross displays some details consistent with Floch crosses.

          The clamshell is a fake (lacks the ridges inside). I also suspect the cross is a fake, the patina on the back is to even and the low date, looks like a Floch. Jim

            I'll put this on the EStand in Bazaar,anybody know a reasonable price to ask for such a piece?

                  The disc is not the classic clamshell disc copied from Deumer...maybe it is an early Floch disc.

                      The disc is the same size as the regular discs.
                      Never seen that before.

                      But since the cross is fake the disc most likely is fake as well

                        I agree with Ben. The disc shape is atypical, but the screw size in the disc is typical from Floch, and the iron cross is Floch, so the disc should be Floch.
