    Real or fake? German Cross

Hello everyone, What I have here is a medal that I picked up in a large grouping of knives and rifles. It is a multiple piece construction medal with 4 rivets in the back. It is not maker marked and from what I understand not all were. So i was just looking for some insight from the community as to whether you guys think it is real or fake. Thank you all in advance for your input.

    Looks S&L.

Based on the striations at the top of the pin, I believe Tom Durante would feel that it is postwar assembled.

      Hi Cornida,

Do you have any more pics? As Leroy says, the tool mark on the pin puts this one squarely in the postwar category for me, but I would be interested in seeing some more pics of this one if you have any more to share. The fact that it doesn't have a PKZ mark is also suspicious and suggests postwar production as well.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

I cannot see the image of the front... damned image hosting...

The reverse looks funny to me. Is there a mark(number) on the other side of the pin?

Sorry guys for not getting the front picture posted, I thought it worked the first time. Yeah the only marks on the front is the 1941. I have not tried to clean it up, usually that is not a good thing to do. If you guys would like more pictures of different areas just let me know.
