    EK Round 3 - 1st Class

    Is this cross legit.

I've looked in the book and do not see an example with this type of pin.

Looks like it might be diddled with.

It's listed in Ratisbons next auction.

Not being an expert on these I would like your input.

Hmmm ... possibly put together --- would like to have it in hand . Did Rettenmaier not use that type of pin ?

Rettenmaier did have a similar pin.

I'm surprised by the lack of response on this cross.

I think it is a piece of put together junk!

                Why?

There seems to be a lot of marks on this cross that I think you do not normally see. Includes filing to the edges.

I would like to see under the pin. Maybe a maker mark has been removed.

Maybe this will stir up some more comment.

Guys, this a Deschler frame and back there is a Deschler set up.
The strange but maybe not impossible is that in many years I have never seen this combination, round 3 core with the middle-late war set up together. Or does it exist? I don't remember..

IMO a known but rare Deschler piece. I believe Nevermind has a lot of round 3 Deschler EKs.

                            Deschler Round 3 Ek1

This is EK1 is I.MO authentic. Deschler did indeed make Round 3 Ek1 but that pin set up, which is classic Deschler, I have not seen in the past on their Round 3 variations.

                              Nice original Deschler.

Here are 3 different round 3 ek1, all made by Deschler as it seems.
