    Spange... By Mayer?

Is this one a Mayer? It's on the way from a friend and he can't read the marking and I can't see it in the photo. He thought it said L/11 or L/15 but I am thinking it may be L/18?

Am I correct in thinking this is a Mayer?
    Thanks for any input!

      Spange... By Mayer?

      Dang.

I feel bad having to tell him that now.

If I saw it 'in the wild' I sure would think it was good.

So with certainty this is no good? He is thinking it was vet purchased many years ago.

This one is definitely a fake, sorry. It's not a Raptor but it is a fake, known commonly as the Floch fake.

Are these generally maker marked like this one?

Here is my Mayer for comparison ..

difficult to photograph as it's so minty

                  Reverse ..

                  Eagle detail ..

                  Unmistakable.
