Minty Bagged mm 27 EK2

Got a little hit in an estate auction today. I was surprised to find a minty 27 marked EK2 as those I have seen are all in poor condition. Sadly, the bag is missing the top flap which carries the maker name.

Very nice items, Bob. These packeted '27's are almost always found with the packet flap cut away. I bet that after WW2 Maria Schenkl no longer wanted her name associated with medals of the Third Reich.

I have several of those packets with the top flap removed. They were quite common in the "old " days. I finally picked up one withering top flap intact and felt very lucky indeed. I agree with you about the reason the top flaps are commonly missing.
