EK1 review and opinion ( EK1 23 )

Hí Guys
I long time ago was looking for this the type and now found a piece ,the condition not the best but therefore I'm glad for him
Because very little difference the Meybauer and " Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Heeresbedarf darf In der Graveur-u. Ziseleurinnung " between

When I did it the pictures then saw that the hinge a little strange to me

I was compare my early Meybauer type and here are the result
I think this not same ,but maybe only a soldering would be a mistake?

What do you think about it ?

if someone is have such type please shared to here the hinge that only
general or for coincidence this the hinge form ?

Definitely - 2 - different pin - anchors .

In my view this could be the reason for the shorter anchor .
The 'long footed' one does not wear nicely as the other one . The top of the cross leans out a bit from the jacket .

As pointed out 2 different sheet thicknesses used . The thicker one would have been made/used first .
One sees this with a few makers where over time/during the war - the striking sheets get thinner ( seen on Deschler , W&L , S&L ...) .

Five years ago I wrote the research thread about this type of EK1 (23 frame, Meybauer pin and core) here:

Unfortunately the photos are now gone, even though they were uploaded to WAF. It is one more of my threads that has had its photos mysteriously deleted

Anyway, here is the hinge from that cross. I think it is the same as yours.

and you totally right ,because this the piece to same type than the on my piece

Unfortunately, so far I have not seen such a piece up close (since there was no such type )
