    EK2 Review/ Question

    Hello all,

I am no expert on Iron Crosses but I believe this to be good...

I am curious if anyone knows:
    -The maker
-If it matches the paper envelope I purchased with this
-If this was painted after for some reason or production

    Thank you,
    Scott

            Hi Scott,

Sorry I can't identify the maker. It looks to me like most of the core has original finish. IMO, the shiny/semi-gloss areas look to be original finish, while the flat black on and around the swastika as well as some other scattered spots have been sloppily touched up.

            Best regards,
            Tom

this the manufacturer "Louis Gottlieb und Söhne " not to my knowledge made EK2

the cross is IMO a Steinhauer & Lück, but in my opinion this the cross was repainted

( sorry ,but these pictures not the best )

                Hi Scott,
Try taking photographs in natural light, there seems to be too much glare from the flash

                Regards

                Phil

i think that is a protective layer of laquer and not paint that is starting to peel off

Looks like a S&L and would say also some kind of protective layer flaking off .
