Iron Cross fake?

Hey!

I bought my first EK1 from this forum and I learned alot here about EK1 & EK2.
Very good forum and helpful people!

A frined of mine asked me if I could tell him anything about this Iron Cross (See pictures).

From what I have learned and read here I would say it is fake. Cant find any stamp and it's made in one piece. It has no finnish and it surely looks like it's molded.

What do you guys and girls think?

That looks to me like a cheap cast costume jewelry piece, probably from the 1960s when the "surf cross" was popular. Some surf crosses had a surfer on them and some didn't. Here is the Wikipedia article I wrote on them:

They are Pop Culture items, collectible in their own right, just not as military items...
