Medals look ok to me ... however, they don't seem to be lined up very straight Also, it seems to be a little unusual how the ribbons are folded and tied togther on the reverse under the pincatch. Maybe just the picture and how it lines up .. but doesn't quite seem right. JMO.

          Hey Mike,

I agree with Darrell. Medals are OK, but something doesn't look right with the way the bar is "finished". Very shoddy on the backside, and even the ribbon folds on the front don't look so hot. I think if you hold off, you can find better. I will risk it and even say, it looks like someone (other than a manufacturer) made this one up. If you look at the furled part of the ribbons, poorly executed.

FURLED !!! That's the word I was looking for

Actually considering the shape of both medals and ribbon (fairly new and mint), wouldn't the ribbon on the Commemorative Medal of 13 March 1938 be Red instead of orange? Or would this be like the "off-red" to "orange" colored ribbons on some EK2s and War Merit Medals?

              Mike,

if you look for a NICE medalbar, you should look for another one. The medals a probably ok, but the mounting is highly suspect. I donĀ“t believe this bar has been made by a jeweller. But IF, i would have shot him right away

              Gerd

                Thanks for the opinions guys!

If this is the case, it's at least the second very questionable award that I've asked about from this site. The other was a R.S. marked CCC in Silver which got a thumbs down too.

I've had positive dealings with the seller before but I like to get more opinions anyway before I purchase something that looks almost too good.

I know every dealer has issues like this from time to time, so unless I get other positive views I'll probably pass.

Too bad!!.......That medalbar would have looked sweet in my display case!!!

                Thanks Again,
                Mike

This can still be a private mounted medal bar though. But i suppose, you are searching for one, that is not questionable like this one is, right?

Mike, keep your eyes peeled, you will easily find another bar with this combo.

                  best,
                  Gerd
