1939 EK1 Sedlatzek ?

I'm with Mike and Trevor on this. While I don't know TR crosses very well,
Sedlatzek sold a few different manufactures ww1 crosses.

Right. But the issue is that this exact type of cross is known unmarked, marked for Sedaltzek, or marked for Mayer. The frame and core are total, 100% Mayer. Sedlatzek bought crosses from multiple manufacturers, among them Mayer, and marked them Sedlatzek. So here we have a cross made by Mayer, with no mark. It mystifies me why it continues to be called a Sedlatzek (except maybe as an odd, inaccurate shorthand to identify the type of Mayer it is).

I would say everything what is marked with 800 or Sedlatzek is traded from Sedlatzek like Godet did with Zimmermann marked [L/50] build by Zimmermann!

From what I know Sedlatzek was a jeweler, but also an intermediary in the sale of crosses EK different manufacturers.
On some of the sold crosses he quipped own signature or punc 800, but that does not mean that it was now his cross.
It only means that he was a salesman of that cross.
For me B.H.Mayer's cross will always Mayer's cross, not Sedlatzek's cross !
