Question about Souval (EK)

Hello Everybody,
i have a question about the famous Souval medals.
I know the wartime and the Post war EK´s are different in style.
But when did this exactly change?
Did at 8 may mister souval changed the entire progress?
Is there someone out here that knows,
because im still hesitating when people are offering me a souval.

There are many post about this maker, also there is a Souval frame pinned and these are all very good and informative articles. Buying a Souval is never easy telling if pre may 1945. TPK

Its hard provenance from a vet acquired piece from before army of occupation times is certain but this maker continued to produce war souvenirs to GI's right as the guns fell silent. Later his hardware changed and that helps to Id it as post war.
