clamshell 1st class cross,

I am looking for a straight answer, would a clamshell ww1 cross have a non magnetic core.
It is ko marked and nicely vaulted , çonstruction seems 3 piece but the W is shiny not brass, could it be silver, or zinc or is it a red flag.
I have wanted a 1st class iron cross for a while now, any opinion appreciated.

I'm not really into ww1 ek's, but I haven't seen a KO marked screwback so far
