who made this DKiG w/ diamonds?

    Hello all,

Obviously not a period piece but the guy who owns it says the gold and diamonds are authentic. My question is, who made this one? Has a cheesy pair of SS-Brigadeführer oaks laser etched into the reverse if you look closely. The outer star looks laser cut to me as well and the catch is almost postwar Souval-esque in design. Any thoughts on the true maker of this?

This is certainly NOT a Souval made piece. IMO it's modern made crap.

      Best regards,

Strange then that modern copy makers use the old Souval catch design

Yes, I do have Souval's early post war copy of the German Cross with Diamonds of the 1950's as well as the later variant of the 1960's and I can assume you that this German Cross has nothing to do with Souval at all... It's just a poor fake.

                Kind regards,
                Alex
