    EK2 Spange Opinions?

    Hi,

After having read the article on Juncker Spanges in the recent International Medal Collector, I wanted to get some opinions on this EK2 Spange I have had in my collection for awhile. Any comments appreciated.

Can you post a picture of the head and date bar? I would like to see the pebbling in the date bar.

Pics are not great but it's the S&L design Spange.
      Best regards,

Thanks for the info. I will have to take pix when I get home from work. The images are scanned and the best my scanner would do.

Here is my concerns with your S&L spange:

          No veins on chest
          Wing cutout on right side
          Knobs missing on feet
          Pebbling in date box
          The swastika looks small

            Jim & all,

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I will post better photos (instead of a scan) as soon as I can. It's getting darker at an earlier time and I am getting home from work later!

Off to the MAX soon so will post photos this Sun.

                Hi,

Attached are some pictures which show the veining on the chest and pebbling on the date bar. Hope these are good enough.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Bill, I owe you a PM. Will let you know how the MAX goes.

Sorry Gary, I don't like it, the pebbling is wrong and the wing shoulders are wrong, plus it looks like a cast piece. Jim

                      I agree with Jim
I don't' like it this the spange

the top part is not straight
                      the elaboration inappropriate
I think it is a one cast piece

                          Hi Gary,
Sorry my friend, I still have to go with , not to beat a dead horse, the date distorts the boarder it doesn't maintain a uniform width from bad casting.
Will wait to get your PM
                          Regards,
                          Bill
