I really like the brass core EK1's with the paint removed from the swaz, makes an excellent contrast.

Here is one of my brass one, also unmarked. Is this the same maker?

Did most cross manufacturers produce EK's with iron and also brass cores?

George can correct me if I'm wrong, but is seems that brass-core EK1s are far more rare than their iron-hearted brothers.

I have had a few brass core examples but have always moved them on,not my cup of tea! I like Iron Crosses to be errr iron!..............no disrespect intended towards your cross Yuri, just my personal preference!....although I must admit your brass job is a nice looker

Were brass EK's manufactured throughout the period or are they considered early?

George can probably answer this question best. I seems to me that several manufacturers made these variants before the strict regulations requiring a real iron core were enforced. Also these could have been privately purchased by KM personnel to fare better in the salt-water air.
