Best I could get close up of makers mark,the wreacked box came with it and was thrown in,it has a purple insert,diamond pattern,could it be imperial.John

Yes the case is for an imperial EK1.

Case is indeed for imperial cross, it's the 'rautenmünster' pattern.

Thanks gents,of the three I was shown today,this took my eye,did not notice the mark at the fair,light was not that good for my old eyes and its very small when I got home I saw it with my jewellers loope .Shame about the box,the lid is missing the front and a side edge,could be a slight restoration job coming on.One of the EK's I saw today was a round three,but I know these have been faked.John
