              That was sarcasm lol.
It is a german cross in gold with most of the finish missing.

Alright Thank you Andy and Kraut!
It came from a lot from a veteran, the veteran also has a bronze PAB and an IAB in the lot with a few other items, the antique ship now owns it and has had it.
Does anyone have a general estimate of a good price or value for one of these?
Is less than $300 a good price

If you don't mind the terrible condition, I guess $300.00 for the DK would be good.

The DK is actually cheaper than that.
I don't know how much the other badges are but I saw The DK and I have a tunic on the way that's very worn, belonging to an NCO, A summertime tunic. Figured it my one opprutinity to buy one of these, I don't know if I should bother to repair the catch or just leave it let's say i get it. Ueually I'd leave it but it won't hang right than, they are heavier than most combat badges

I was just wondering why the cross is so worn but the enamel on the swastica is in really nice shape.

I have actually no idea why it's like that, maybe just how it was stored or maybe it was worn in combat??

The disk and wreath don't seem to be particularly worn, just the finish from the two star bursts.
