        Here is the description:

"(N979) A Superb Set of Dupla Oakleaves, Swords and Diamonds. The set were reputedly taken from a museum display at the end of WWII and consists of a multi-constructed oakleaves and swords. The set are properly marked with the Klein mark of K within a circle and have the three rivets holding them together. This type is shown in the Adrian Forman book "Bravery, Courage and Valour" on page 170 where it states they are unattributed. The oakleaves are also marked 800 silver and are finely executed. The last collector who owned these had an oakleaf and swords case made up for them which is very good and looks the part but the case is not a wartime example. They come with an original wartime piece of ribbon. Exceptionally rare to find. If these were an attributed set, you would be looking at £40,000 +. As these are dupla's which could have been worn, we value them at
        GBP £5000.00"

And here is what I like to comment:

They are maybe worth $ 100.- maximum. They have nothing to do with anything Klein produced, they are not a "Dupla" (whatever that might suggest ...) and since they are marked with "Klein" they are fakes, plain and simple. They are also not pictured in Forman's book on page 170, that too is a misleading statement. I like to have an explanation for the "W" or "M" on the swords, too.
They are a piece of crap and the description is partially misleading and partially wrong. Mr. Cross is trying to sell a fake with a story and a wrong reference to a book. If he really does not know that this is a fake he either had never seen a real set or he is very, very uneducated in the field of Third Reich. Or he is knowingly selling a fake!

        That is what I think!

Thank you Dietrich, you confirmed what I was thinking. I'm certainly no expert but it didn't really look like a genuine Klein set and I wasn't sure what it actually was.

Let's just hope no one forks out five grand for them. Having said that it wouldn't really surprise me if someone did.

This information I am going to tell now, This is ofcourse insider information, so don't tell any one, as this is a secret, only meant to be known by the inner cirkle of the Illuminati.

The stamped W/M is the initials of the former owner/awardee....so this set is attributed to Werner Mölders, so he did stamp his Diamons with a letter that could look like both a W for Werner and an M for Mölders.

Just Kitting ofcourse, I have no idea why the one who did make this copy decided to stamp it with the W or M.

                            Have a nice weekend.
