        The Spanish cross looks real but I'm no fan of the gold finish on this cross. The finish covers the fine details this cross should have. The polished swastika's are not a match either with a cross that has a very worn surface.

        I don't want to do Emedals any harm, but this cross could use a objective discussion.
        Kind regards,
        Giel

            I am no expert on these but I have looked at this cross more than once on their site and I agree with Giel. There are small details that leave me uncertain about this one not the least of which is the unsoldered eagle wing. It makes me wonder if this is a reworked well known repro where the eagles are soldered only to the swords and someone went back and added a glob of solder to the cross arms and then refinished it. But forgot one. This was a prestigious award and I would think care would be taken in the manufacture even if it is not an awarded piece. To me not soldering all the wings would be like selling an RK without all of the arms of the cross's frame being soldered. Just an opinion.

              Looking at the wing tips ... they all were soldered on at one time ... see post 3 . The top right arm ... the wing tip is 'cracked' apart . And the other side the wing is pulled loose - it was attached at one time also. To me the cause is probably ;bending/twisting - snagging of the award .

                I donĀ“t like it at all! I wouldnĀ“t go so far and say itĀ“s not original. Not without holding it in my hands, but it looks... strange. Perhaps itĀ“s just the light and/or finish?
                Anyway, hereĀ“s a good Juncker produced cross:

                  I never looked at that one being a Juncker ... can't read the mark - thought is read L13 , L 16 or L 18 ... something like that .
                  It does not have the tapered cutouts on the Swastika to start with , to be a Juncker piece .

                    Ops! Now I see it looks more like a L/16 than L/12, but I still donĀ“t like the finish!

                      Went and had a look at it on the site .... he has it advertised as a " L 12" ....but there is no picture of the maker mark .
                      Wonder if it has been gold - re-plated ?

                        I don't like it, Juncker's eagles usually have two cutouts on swas not three, and overall cross doesn't look right.

                          I agree with the others. Please see these two threads;

                          And I agree with Alikn, I don't think it is even a Juncker. I just can't see it based on those photos.

                          Look at the CEJ on his site also... The gold was not a "different" cross.

                            Good gold grade is over twice the price on that one, then think Euros not USD... Look at the Schmid grouping on his site Subtract the prices on everything else and look what's left for the SCiG! And that one is not mint by any stretch.
