    EKII mm128 - S. Jablonski

    Hello again,
This is the second of two crosses I recently got from a source I hadn't used before and I'm very pleased how the deal went.
It's a very clearly marked 128 which indicates manufacture by S. Jablonski. I've done the required research into these crosses and must've read nearly every thread about 128s on this forum and I'm happy that the beading pattern conforms to known marked examples by this maker. Unfortunately 128s can suffer from paint loss to the core and mine has a bit missing although it's still a handsome cross and by a maker that you don't see very often.

Here's the pics. Please let me know what you think.

A close up of the swastika, the surrounding beading and the date.

There's absolutely no mistaking that makers mark !

Thanks for reading my thread !

    Greg,
nice find, in good condition for Jablonski - shame quality of EK's from Posen was rather low.

This is a good looking cross. Is the poor quality of this maker usually found in the frame or core or both?

Thanks for the thumbs ups lads. I did the buying of this cross on a mobile phone whilst on holiday sat on a balcony in beautiful weather and surroundings so this cross reminds me of happy days and therefore has a particular sentimental value to me !

Tony T-S - The frames look okay on these crosses apart from the way the solder seems to continue onto the beading underneath the ring which I have seen quite often on Jablonskis. The main problem with this manufacturers crosses is that the paint doesn't stay on the core too well. I have seen 128s with no paint loss at all but a significant number do have this problem. Overall though I think they're perfectly adequate crosses.
