    1957 s&l

What IMO it is a S&L 1957 set of Oaks & Swords. IMO an original early set with "O" mark & 800.....value about $200.00 Tom

Could indeed be a S&L with that "o" on the back.
Can't remember if other maker used that mark on their "57 piece".

Postwar 1957 issue set of oaks .... if nothing else, I did at least have a good laugh with an asking price of 8.500 Euro .

Yeah, 8500 Euro is really an insane price tag on these Oaks.

Thanks Gents, and any idea if they are die stamped or only casted, just wondering about the sawing marks around the rim of that piece.

In my opinion the swords are looking like castes pieces, but I am not sure about.

            What do you think?

              Hi,

              TomB:

No, it is not a "1957 set of Oaks & Swords".
It could be an early set, but not an original.

              Flemming:
              "57 piece"
No, it is not a "57 piece".

              Matthieu:
"Postwar 1957 issue set of oaks"
No, it is not a "Postwar 1957 issue set of oaks".

It is a postwar copy, made by S&L.
It could be an early production, it may be 1952?
I really don't know, when S&L produced these pieces, but I bought such a piece in the 70s/80/90s at the "Kleiderkasse für die Bundeswehr" in Koblenz. For less than 18 €.
I don't remember the date, because it was a simple copy, nothing more.

No 1957er, no original, only a quite normal copy.
              But a grat price!

              Uwe

It seems to have S&L's post war O on the rear. I love the seller's 1945-1950 heading, just to cover various bases and to give some credence to the silly price.
