Yeah, who knows? Maybe they're different pins just using similar tools? To be honest I haven't looked too closely at the scrapes. In any case there is no doubt that the S&L EK1 is a postwar example.

Trevor - What is the large circle on the body of that cross, beneath the pin??? Have not seen that before.

Agree on the thought that we are seeing the results of similar tools.

It's where a screwback post would be fitted. Economy was the watchword in postwar production.

Does anybody else think this Thread should be pinned?

The information on pin characteristics is priceless.

Very interesting comments made over the last few threads,

Souval, S & L etc, it seems that for the TR collector community, is walking on a minefield, you are just "throwing away a lot of money that is spent on "junk", with no real value. Remember, regardless of what rhetoric is spouted about any item, and we can chase our tails forever, whatever, any item IS only worth whatever a person is willing to pay for it, there are NO book values except experts comments and interested dealers values, caveat empor.

so now we have Souvals are junk, S & L's are junk, what next, junkers, W & L,
Deumer, Godet, etc all post war fakes??

you spend yor money and you take your choice

                  regards

Yes, I think with the amount of information that came to light, this needs to be pinned.
