        Heres a similar object. Paper weight with EK. Is it wartime? Don't have a clue. Got if from a person who found it clearing a home in Germany. Does that make it original? No. Did the Germans even produce these types of items during the war? Maybe somebody has some answers. Here a few pics. Jim

              I like the idea of a paperweight better than an ash tray. I can only see Allied troops putting out their cigars etc on an RK. Its like making an ash tray with the Victoria Cross or Congressional Medal of honour or the like.

              Still, both very interesting pieces. The EK on the paperweight looks better than many fakes actually.

                That was exactly my point Tony. I hardly think any self-respecting German would put their smoke out on their nation's highest award.
