    EK2 Spange

    Hello guys,

    Is this EK spange (with 3 prongs missing, it's glued on ribbon) good according to these pictures?

      IMO it could possibly be a good Wernstein, although very worn. But I don't like the lack of pebbling in the date bar and inside the wreath. Let's see what others have to say about these details. It's very questionable.

        looks like a good L/13 segment claw, which has been through hell... compare with other examples on the forum

          Hi jon,

          My first guess was a Meybauer until I looked at the long neck on the spange. I'm really unfamiliar with the Meybauers and Wernsteins so my guess was just an uneducated one.

          This is a photo of a Meybauer (L) and a Wernstein (R)...Both from the same die?
